When they cry... |
Keiichi Maebara is the main male lead. He is also the main character of the question arcs. His family moved to Hinimizawa
after an unfortunate incident involving him in his hometown. Keiichi is a year older then Rena and the same age as
Mion. They're all in the same classroom (with Satoko and Rika) because their school is to small for seperate grade
classrooms.
Keiichi is often seen with Satoshi's bat, which becomes Keiichi's signature weapon. In Tatarigoroshi-hen he kills
Teppei Hojo to protect Satoko. However, later he begins to wonder, after digging up where he believes to have burried
Teppei, if he actually killed the man at all. This prompts him to go and kill him again. He goes to the Hojo household and
finds Satoko whom was ordered to count to 5040 by her uncle. Keiichi goes crazy and starts to tear through the house.
Unable to find him he decided to take Satoko to the hospital. Unfortunatly, the 'suicide' of Dr.Irie prevents them from doing so.
He then decides to take his friend to Rika's where Satoko has clothes. Inevitably he finds Rika's body and
all in all it results in Keiichi being pushed off a suspenison bridge by Satoko, whom believes he has murdered Rika.
After a freak accident that kills everybody in Hinimizawa, we find out that Keiichi is the only one to survive, even after falling.
Keiichi often shows another side (no not his Oyashiro mode side, no not his good friend side) but a rather perverted Keiichi.
Like when he first see's Shion in her Angel Mort uniform. He also tell's Rena on the roof when they do battle that if he wins he
wants her to dress up like a maid and be his servant; She makes the same request.
